Motivation
During his early medical career volunteering at a rural Kenyan hospital, Dr Chow witnessed firsthand the life-changing “miracles” of sight restoration. This pivotal experience ignited his passion for ophthalmology. Dr Chow has since been dedicated to delivering the same transformative care to patients in NZ and abroad, including past roles in rural Australia and West Africa.
Dr Chow: “The most rewarding part of my role is seeing the profound satisfaction and gratitude of my patients as they leave my clinic room, knowing they have received the best possible care.”
Outside work, Kent treasures spending quality time with his wife (Dr Georgina Chan, a hip and knee surgeon) and his young family. He is often seen cheering on his children in their extra-curricular pursuits. He used to play classical Double Bass semi-professionally.
